Ruifeng Shang

I am a master’s student in Statistics at the University of Chicago. Previously, I earned a B.Sc. in Mathematics and a B.Eng. in Artificial Intelligence from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where I ranked first in my major.

My research interests lie at the interface of statistics and deep learning, with a focus on:

• Deep generative models
• Stochastic systems
• Causal machine learning
• Medical imaging

I am particularly interested in developing generative models grounded in statistical theory.
